Sweep + Slice

Something about these pieces appealed to me. They are porcelain, but appear to me as a product of a sharp, cold, clinical plastic 3D print, yet still seem to retain a fragile quality.


They are by ceramicist Kate O’Kelly who has a 4 month residency in the Old Spode Works Factory in Stoke-On-Trent. She uses traditional methods of casting/extruding as well as the digital processes of modelling in CAD and Rapid Prototyping.

  • 3D software Programs: Which is best/free? Maybe Cinema 4D.
